Where was God?

A story of God's healing power after a devasting life experience.

Introduction

This book is long overdue. I thought about writing this book years ago, but I didn’t want to relive the trials and tests all over again. Although I have forgiven the person for the offense they inflicted on me, the healing took some time, a lot of time. The wounds which occurred from the incident were emotional, physical and mental the scars were deep, and still visible and tender, even years after God’s healing hand. Sometimes when you look at the scar you relive how it got there. In writing this book many things were painful to remember, I had to bring my thoughts into subjection. Yes, I could say “Where Was God,” and wallow in the blood and suffering of the past. But I chose to stand strong in the Lord who is my strength, deliverer, comforter, counselor, healer, and He teaches me to overcome the many obstacles that life can bring.

Where would I be if I didn’t know the Lord? Therefore I was inspired by the Holy Spirit to write this book to help and encourage those of you faced with many challenges in their life and wondered “Where was God”? I chose to obey God and write this book in hopes to reach individuals that have had that question or are still unclear about “Where Was God?”, at times when they needed Him. Whatever obstacles in life that you may have gone through or are still going through; it may seem that He wasn’t or isn’t there, but I can assure you that he is and will always be there. Hebrews 13:5

Understanding is imperative, and many times we don’t know or understand the laws of God or His Word. The Bible says my people perish for lack of knowledge. We must not reject the warnings that God sends to our hearts.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge,

I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing  thou hast forgotten the law of thy God,

I will also forget thy children.

Hosea 4:6 (KJV)

Obedience and understanding are vital when God speaks to your heart through his Word we are to implement and obey the word that he speaks. God may just talk to us through our inner man and after the fact we will say “something told me.” Sometimes we may not understand the voice of the Lord and we don’t know what God is instructing us on or why God is teaching us a certain way. But If we just learn to obey Him, it would save us from a lot of heartaches.  When we don’t observe his voice or His Word, we disobey His laws. God has laws and principles that He has established in the earth realm by His Word.  These are laws that He must abide by therefore He will not break them not even for His own Son. If He were to break the law for one, then He would have to break it for all and that is not going to happen. Our God is not a man that He would lie; His word is yes and amen, therefore if He said it that settles it.

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man,

that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it?

or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Numbers 23:19 (KJV)

When things happen to us or come upon us, we want to blame God,  because we don’t know or understand the principles and laws of God. The only way to gain knowledge of His laws are by studying His Word. Also, we must not forget that we have an enemy who seeks to kill, steal and destroy waiting for the opportunity to lead us into his trap. God is not our enemy!

From a young age, the Lord ministered to me through dreams and visions, and He empowered me with the gift of discernment.  I would always have visions and dreams of things to come, but I didn’t understand what they meant or how to interpret them, but The Lord would show me things that would eventually come to pass. Since I was not a Christian and did not know how to pray, I didn’t know that some of the visions and dreams were warnings that could have prevented things from transpiring in my life and the lives of others.
